1 Car Flees West Hartford Police During Motor Vehicle Enforcement Initiative, Police Say
More than 100 plus violations were handed out during an eight-hour period on Wednesday, police said.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police said the department's traffic division conducted motor vehicle enforcement in pre-determined locations on Wednesday, resulting in numerous stops and issuance of fines.

On 08/06/25 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, members of the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Division conducted motor vehicle enforcement in the following locations within the Town of West Hartford:

- 1097 Farmington Avenue
- New Britain Avenue @ Mayflower Street
- Mountain Road @ High Farms Road
- Mountain Road @ Treeborough Drive
- 2651 Albany Avenue
- 2900 Albany Avenue
During this 8-hour initiative, 106 motor vehicle violations were detected and resulted in the following enforcement:
- 75 Infractions (tickets issued)
- 3 Misdemeanor Summons (Court Appearance Required)
- 28 Warnings issued
- 1 felony arrest warrant was served (Full Custody Arrest)
- 1 vehicle fled from the police officers and was not located
"This type of traffic enforcement will continue throughout West Hartford at varying times and locations in the future. For everyone’s safety; all motorist, bicyclist and pedestrians are reminded to observe all roadway and traffic laws while traveling through town," police said in a news release.
