Previous public office, appointive or elective: Town Council past 10 years. Currently Deputy Mayor
Why are you seeking this office? To continue to help make West Hartford the best place it can be.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: Affordability.
Continue to encourage smart growth of our grand list and expanded housing options at all income levels.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a life-long progressive activist and union leader.
I am thrilled to be on a ticket with wonderful Democratic leaders who each bring unique and impressive credentials to our cause.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
The need to continue our work making our streets safe, our schools fantastic, and our community one that respects and embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence that you can handle this job?
I have worked on behalf of working people, including nurses, teachers, and other educational professionals, for my entire career, and I bring that passion to my work on the council.
I was proud to sponsor our accessory dwelling unit ordinance, which created opportunities for new residents and potential income streams for seniors.
