Behold the Keytar, West Hartford Planning & Zoning, Town Council Meetings, Ashleigh and Jennifer Fundraiser

Here are five things coming up in the week ahead.

Good morning, West Hartford, today is Monday, Oct. 7, 2013; there are 85 days left in the year.

Behold the keytar, that instrument of the 1980s that liberated keyboard players from their stations, enabling us all to see their dance moves.

Kids, i have a simple theory: you can tell an instrument's popularity based on the likelihood that you'll play it in the "air."

Air drums? Yep. Air piano? On occasion, yeah. Air guitar? Absolutely.

Ain't no one playing the air keytar. It's right there with the kazoo and the mandolin.

Anyway, I thought the keytar had gone the way of dinosaurs, the dodo and shoulder pads sewed in women's clothing.

And then I saw this at Blue Back Square the other night. If we can bring back the keytar, then we can definitely bring back 3D Doritos.

(That band Shaded Soul, by the way, was awesome - keytar player included)
