Celebrate Japan In West Hartford This Weekend
The Japan Society of Greater Hartford is hosting its annual Japan Summer Festival this coming weekend.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford's Blue Back Square will transform itself into a Far East outpost on Saturday, June 28, to celebrate a little bit of Japan.
The Japan Society of Greater Hartford, which is based in Hartford, is a Japanese-American cultural organization dedicated to promoting Japanese culture and history in the U.S.
Saturday, it will host its annual Japan Summer Festival at Blue Back Square in West Hartford, 65 Memorial Road.

The free event will feature various Japanese cultural events and activities, along with music and dance, as well as martial arts demonstrations.
It will take place from noon to 5 p.m., with most of the activities hands-on and fun for the whole family.

Folks will even be able to take pictures with iconic Japanese characters "Pikachu" and "Hello Kitty."
