'Celebrate! West Hartford' Returns This Weekend

The annual festival will take place from June 11-12 with its usual lineup of games, vendors, food, live music and more. Admission is free.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — "Celebrate! West Hartford," the town's annual fair, will return to the Town Hall grounds this Saturday and Sunday.

The festival will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, as are many of the activities.

Among the event's offerings are an arts & crafts fair with more than 160 vendors, a business and non-profit expo with more than 120 exhibitors, a food court offering both gourmet cuisine and festival food favorites, carnival rides and games for all ages.

Professional bands with regional followings will perform at the fair, as will West Hartford schools' jazz bands. On Sunday morning, FUNd RUNS — a certified 5K and Kids 1/2 Mile Dash — will be held.

Visitors can park for free in the Isham Garage on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. each day, and $5 parking will be available at the Town Center garage (29 South Main St.). The Memorial Garage will have limited parking as well, with fees applying at the kiosk.

Town officials said Celebrate! West Hartford attracts more than 40,000 people each year from the greater Hartford area. It has won many local and statewide awards, and its arts & crafts fair has been included on a list of the nation's top 200 craft shows several times.

This year's presenting sponsor is Peoples United Bank, and a full festival program can be found here.

During the festival, parking will be prohibited in these places:

  • South Main Street, west side, from 29 South Main St. to 55 South Main St. (Dunkin' Donuts to Key Bank)
  • Burr Street (The road will be closed and available only to local traffic and authorized vehicles)
  • Along the 5K Race route on Sunday. Road closures include Raymond Road, both sides, from the Boulevard to Isham Road; Isham Road, both sides, from Raymond Road to Memorial Road; Memorial Road, both sides, from South Main Rd to Raymond Road
