Free Concerts Start This Week At Hartford/West Hartford Park

The shows will take place in July at Elizabeth Park, which is located in West Hartford/Hartford.

WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — An iconic park located in West Hartford and Hartford kicks off a summer concert series starting Wednesday, July 2, and continuing all month long.

The public is invited every Wednesday evening in July for an eclectic mix of musical performances in beautiful Elizabeth Park, which is located at 1561 Asylum Ave., West Hartford, with the park's footprint also including part of Hartford.

All concerts are free and take place on the John G. Martin Foundation Stage on the Helen S Kaman Rose Garden Lawn.

"MOTO"

Moto kicks off the 2025 Summer Concert Series on Wednesday, July 2, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Moto is a five-piece Caribbean band led by drummer Paul Bozzi.

The band specializes in Reggae and Soca music, while also incorporating R&B styles and jazz sensibilities.

Moto will be accompanied by two Latin dancers to help you get started moving to the music.

Rain date is Thursday, July 3.

NUMBER 9, BEATLES TRIBUTE BAND

Number 9 is one of the best Beatles tribute bands in New England.

Founded in 2006, they’ve been delighting audiences ever since.

The band performs the full spectrum of the Beatles’ repertoire. The concert is on Wednesday, July 9, from 6:30-8 p.m. Rain date is Thursday, July 10.

LE’ MIXX BAND

Le’ Mixx is a seven-piece band with over 30 years of combined experience among its eclectic mix of band members.

Their sound blends classic R&B, funk, and reggae. The talented musicians in this band have worked with artists such as Ray, Goodman & Brown, Grand Master Flash, Babatunde Olatunji, Black Ivory, Betty Wright, the Five Satins, and more.

The concert is on Wednesday, July 16, from 6:30-8 p.m. Rain date is Thursday, July 17.

GENE BOZZI AND JAZZ & STRINGS

Jazz & Strings presents Hartford native Shenel Johns as she dons the “Lady in Satin” mantle, singing songs from the 1958 studio string session that decked out the then-dying Billie Holiday’s tragically tattered but still emotionally charged voice in high-fashion orchestrations.

The concert is on Wednesday, July 23, from 6:30-8 p.m. Rain date is Thursday, July 24.

MASS-CONN-FUSION

As its name suggests, Mass-Conn-Fusion draws its talent from both sides of the Massachusetts-Connecticut border.

The group has an extensive repertoire featuring Motown, R&B, Jazz, and Blues hits of the 60s right up to the present.

They have been performing throughout New England, providing premier entertainment, for over 35 years.

The concert is on Wednesday, July 30, from 6:30-8 p.m. Rain date is Thursday, July 31.
