Hartford HealthCare Opens Third Same Day Care/Walk-In Site in Hartford

HARTFORD—As part of ongoing efforts to make accessing quality healthcare easier for everyone, Hartford HealthCare has opened the new Hartford HealthCare Care Now Same Day Clinic on the first floor of the medical office building at 85 Seymour St., in Hartford, offering adult patients quick and convenient care for conditions and symptoms that aren’t life threatening but need attention.

The new clinic combines in-person care with confidential on-site virtual care. For ease of access, a clinical colleague of Hartford HealthCare Medical Group provides checking of vital signs, medication review and point of care testing, while a Medical Group provider conducts a private virtual care visit, including referrals and prescriptions as needed. Once a patient is connected virtually, the state-the-art technology allows the provider to assess the patient’s medical condition as if they were right in the exam room with them. Providers can hear heart and lung sounds, examine a patient’s ears, throat, skin and more. All in real time.

The clinic also provides point-of-care testing, including COVID, flu, strep, urinary infections and others. Medications can be filled at the Hartford HealthCare Community Pharmacy on site or a pharmacy of the patient’s choice.

The clinic is open Monday-Friday, 10:30 am to 7pm with weekend hours soon to be added.

It’s the third walk-in care option Hartford HealthCare has added in the city in the past year including GoHealth Urgent Care at 100 Pearl Street and the Hartford HealthCare OnMed Care Station at The Village at 331 Wethersfield Ave. in Hartford.
