Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Hartford, Tolland County

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Hartford, Tolland and Windham County. Here's what to expect.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — It may be rainy and chilly this morning but by the weekend temperatures will soar into the 90s and in some places it may feel like 100 degrees.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook Thursday in advance of the upcoming weekend.

"Significant summer heat and humidity arrives this weekend with highs in the 90s away from the coast on both days with heat index values between 95 and 100," the weather service said. "Saturday night will be especially uncomfortable with dew points in the mid to upper 60s and overnight lows struggling to fall below 70. More seasonable temperatures return next week."

Today: Rain, mainly before 10am. High near 62. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 52. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South wind 5 to 9 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

Sunday: A chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. South wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
