New Chocolate Shop Opens In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The site of a former business operation specializing in gifted fruit has now been transformed into one celebrating another decadent delight — chocolate.

This Friday, May 30, Chocodiva Confections is officially dedicating its first brick-and-mortar location after time as a "cottage foods confectioner," according to the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.

The chocolate shop specializes in, you guessed it, all things chocolate, from chocolate candy to pastries to all sorts of sweet, taste-tempting delectibles.

It is located at 282 Park Road, West Hartford, the former site of an "Edible Arrangements" franchise that closed in 2024.

"Edible" sold custom-made, fruit-based flower arrangements.

Friday's ribbon-cutting celebration, which will likely be well-represented by members of the community, is from 10 a.m. to noon at the shop.

According to the chamber, folks better be prepared for "a sweet celebration featuring tastings of their exquisite cakes, cupcakes, candies, verrines, and more."

"Come experience where artistry meets indulgence," reads an event announcement.
