No Golf On West Hartford's Golf Courses, But Winter Rec Allowed
The town's two golf courses closed for the season Dec. 1, with the sites now open for winter hiking and other rec activities.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The time to hit the links officially passed on Dec. 1, but it doesn't mean folks can't enjoy West Hartford's publicly-owned golf courses.
That's because Rockledge Golf Club at 289 S. Main St. and the Buena Vista Golf Course at 37 Buena Vista Road are now officially open for recreational use during the winter months.

The winter trails are available for jogging, walking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, but the Blue Walking Trail will be closed in the winter because the bridge needs to be repaired.
For the safety of all users, no golfing is allowed while the course is closed.

Residents may bring their dogs on the course, but must follow the rules for all parks and school yards year-round.
The golf courses will reopen for the game they were designed for in the spring.
