Time Change: NW Catholic Football To Play For Class S Title In New Britain Saturday Afternoon: UPDATE
The private Catholic West Hartford school defeated Ansonia High School 21-0 in Monday's semifinal.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford's Northwest Catholic High School Monday night punched its ticket to the CIAC Class S state title game this weekend with an easy win over Ansonia High School.
Playing in West Hartford on a cold Monday night, the Lions shut out Ansonia, 21-0, and will play M.T. Sheehan High School out of Wallingford for the championship on Saturday.
The Lions will play Sheehan at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium in New Britain, 635 S. Main St., New Britain, according to the CIAC, which released a revised schedule Wednesday afternoon.

NW Catholic will be one of 12 Connecticut teams competing for six championships on Saturday, with times and locations yet to be decided by the CIAC.
Though located in West Hartford, Northwest Catholic has students from several area towns attending, including Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, Canton, Berlin, Newington, Rocky Hill, Wethersfield, Berlin, Cromwell, Middletown, Windsor, Windsor Locks, and East Hartford.

Including two postseason wins, the Lions stand at 11-1, while Sheehan is now 10-2.
