Speed Cameras In West Hartford, What You Need To Know
With West Hartford soon installing speed cameras in town, it has recently put a lot of information online about what to expect.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — In case you missed it, the Town of West Hartford has made all of the necessary information about traffic security cameras available online.
On July 30, the town hosted the first of two planned public forums on its new speed management project, which features speed cameras and the ability to implement automatic speeding fines to motorists.
At the event, which was at West Hartford Town Hall, the town-hired consultant, VHB & VN Engineers, provided an overview of their process for creating an Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Devices (ATESD) plan.

The forum also solicited feedback from residents and addressed questions, with a second forum planned sometime next month.
The speeding cameras are all part of the town's 'Vision Zero' traffic safety initiative aimed at combating an influx of serious crashes in town in recent years.
