Spilled Load Cleared On I-84 In West Hartford: UPDATE

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Traffic on Interstate 84 in West Hartford was drastically slowed following an incident on the highway, according to the state Department of Transportation, but the situation has now been cleared.

The DOT classified the incident as "load spillage" and cleanup crews were on the scene.

The DOT said the incident was on I-84 West between exits 41 and 40, resulting in the closure of the right-hand lane.

The situation was first reported at 2:46 p.m. and is no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
