WATCH: Massive Street Flooding In West Hartford
The local public works department was urging folks to stay off the roads.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A morning deluge had West Hartford's streets being transformed into rivers, with the town's public works department warning motorists to stay off them.
According to the West Hartford Department of Public Works "X" feed, several neighborhoods were impacted by local street flooding, even posting spectacular images of the tempest's aftermath.
As a result, motorists were told to stay inside “until the water subsides after this very intense rainfall."

The DPW also posted a brief video of a stream overrun by rain flowing through a park area and engulfing a picnic table.
