West Hartford's Final Summer Celebration Of 2025 Promises Family Fun
The annual Center Streets Festival in West Hartford will be closed to vehicle traffic, but it will be open for pedestrians of all varieties.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — School starts next week, but there is one more summer celebration on the calendar in West Hartford this weekend.
And it appears the weather will cooperate.
On Sunday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., everyone is welcome at the popular Center Streets Festival, which is in West Hartford Center and hosted by Bike West Hartford.

This is where folks can stroll, skate, dance, or bike around a four-block loop — without cars — in the central business district: Farmington Avenue, South Main Street, Memorial Road Extension, and LaSalle Road.
A coned-off lane of traffic on Farmington Avenue will connect the Trout Brook Trail to the event site.

At the event, children can enjoy a variety of activities, including playing games, hula hooping, drawing with chalk, and blowing bubbles.
In addition, live music will be performed all morning.
Participating restaurants will offer brunch specials, and merchants will feature discounts.
Organizations will provide information and giveaways.
Meanwhile, guests can visit the Vision Zero table to pick up free reflective armbands as part of the town's ongoing pedestrian/motorist safety push.
Center Streets is hosted by Bike West Hartford, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
