The West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund group needs volunteers to decide how funds can be spent to benefit the town.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A key West Hartford committee that oversees funding earmarked for improving the community is looking for volunteers to help out.
The West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is looking for new members for the all-volunteer West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund Committee.
The purpose of the community funds is to support residents in taking ownership of the needs in their towns and encourage inclusive civic engagement.

West Hartford residents play the lead role in deciding how the fund will be used through a committee composed of all volunteers.
Committee membership is open to West Hartford residents aged 14 and older, except those who currently hold elected office.

"Ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting the West Hartford Community, enjoy collaborating with a diverse cohort of fellow volunteers, and think critically with an open mind," wrote committee officials.
