The Whiting Lane Elementary School PTO is hosting "Touch-A-Truck" on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WLEC, 47 Whiting Lane, West Hartford. While the event is rain or shine, weather forecasts are calling for dry conditions, making the last official day of summer a perfect day to enjoy the event. "Touch-A-Truck" will feature all sorts of municipal, fire department, and commercial vehicles open for young children to explore. Admission is $5 per person and those under 2 are free. For $10, people can get all the cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones they can eat.
