Traffic Light At Busy West Hartford Intersection Falls To Ground: WHPD
The initial incident happened Monday, with the WHPD still urging caution at the intersection on Thursday as the lights are just flashing.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — It's been a traffic nightmare for motorists at a busy West Hartford intersection this week after traffic lights there fell to the ground.
According to the West Hartford Police Department, the incident happened at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and New Park Avenue on Monday night.
Police didn't state a cause for the situation, but the weather was exceedingly windy earlier this week.

This resulted in the long-term closure of the intersection, police said.
Late Thursday morning, police said new traffic lights went up at the intersection, but they will be on "flash" until reprogrammed.

As a result, police said motorists should "exercise caution through the intersection."
It was not known when traffic would return to normal at the intersection.
