Trotters Sought for WeHa School's Annual 'Turkey Trot'

The fun and family-oriented 5K on Thanksgiving morning will benefit West Hartford's Webster Hill Elementary School's PTO.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — If the crowds and hustle-bustle of the Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving are a bit much, there's a tamer, calmer event in West Hartford to help you work up an appetite.

That's because West Hartford's Webster Hill Elementary School is hosting its fourth annual "Webster Hill Turkey Trot" on Thanksgiving morning from 8 to 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 28.

And registrants are being sought now.

While the fundraiser for the Webster Hill PTO is a 5K road race, participants can run, walk, stroll, skip, moonwalk and, even, levitate (if they can) during the event. Parents with strollers are encouraged to come as well.

Participants can, even, don costumes while trotting, organizers said.
