West Hartford 2023 Election Guide: Polls Open At 6 a.m. Tuesday

WEST HARTFORD, CT — On Tuesday, Nov. 7, West Hartford residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions.

Contested races include the town council and school board.

Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration.

Town Council

For town council, you'll vote for up to six people.

Democratic candidates are: Barry Walters, Shari Cantor, Deb Polun, Carol A. Blanks, Tiffani McGinnis and Ben Wenograd. Republican candidates include: Aaron Sarwar, Alberto Cortes, Mary Fay and Mark Zydanowicz. The A Connecticut Party council hopeful is Rick Bush.

Town Clerk

Democrat Leon S. Davidoff is running unopposed.

Board of Education — Full term (Vote for two)

The Democratic candidates are: Shannon Marimon and LaToya Fernandez. The Republican candidates are: Kyle Zelanzy and Ethan Goldman. The A Connecticut Party candidates are: Roni Rodman and Kristyn Rosen-Jacobs.

Board of Education — 2-year vacancy

Democrat Jason Gagnon is running unopposed.
