West Hartford Artists to be Featured in One-Stop Art Market on Saturday, November 1

Nearly a dozen creative, innovative, and talented artists working in various mediums will be together showcasing their work at a one-stop art market, the ART STOP, in West Hartford on Saturday, November 1 – the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season.

The Art Stop has been curated to offer a variety of great gift-giving options for the holiday season, offering supporters of local artists an opportunity to buy from local crafters early in the season rather than wait until the last minute, only to spend money at a big box store. It is an Art Market in conjunction with the WeHa Artists Emporium.

The special event – drawing customers from across West Hartford and from neighboring communities – began years ago as a multi-location WeHa Art Trail, but has now come together in one residential location – spread out across the front lawn and back yard of 35 North Quaker Lane in West Hartford, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

It promises to be an enjoyable day brimming with talented local artists and makers, showcasing one-of-a-kind creations perfect for collectors, gift-givers, and art enthusiasts alike. From original paintings and mixed media art to handcrafted goods and unique home décor, this curated selection offers something special for every taste. Plus, there’s an opportunity to indulge in Small State Provisions’ freshly baked pastries and breads, making it the perfect pairing of art and flavor.

The participating artists on November 1 - including returning and new artists - are:

Coordinating the Art Stop are Stefanie Marco of KiNDSPiN DESiGN and Julie Phillipps of Handmade by Julie.

“I think it means a lot to our customers to support local arts, to be able to talk face-to-face with us. And I know we love seeing everyone,” said Julie Phillipps. “The Art Stop is a great way to bring our community together.”

On arrival, it is recommended that visitors park on Milton Street and walk just around the corner to 35 North Quaker Lane. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, November 2.
