West Hartford To Celebrate Pollinator Habitats This Weekend

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The community is invited to a special event this Saturday to celebrate a new nature education feature that has just opened up.

Families and residents are being welcomed to the new Pollinator Habitat at the entrance to the Wolcott Children’s Forest, at the junction of Wolcott Road and Elmfield Street.

The official opening will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Learn about the biodiversity benefits of the pollinator habitat, and how people can create a biodiverse pollinator garden in their yard.

The event features garden tours, hands-on workshops, and family-friendly activities, including a native plant giveaway, seed-ball making, and a scavenger hunt.

The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 28.
