West Hartford Dining Scene Well-Represented At Major Award Ceremony
One local chef and one West Hartford restaurant were honored this week by the Connecticut Restaurant Association.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's dining scene this week was well-represented at Connecticut's biggest awards ceremony for the state's restaurant industry.
One West Hartford eatery and one West Hartford chef took home honors in the Connecticut Restaurant Association's annual CRAZIES Awards.
The CRA hosted a sold-out crowd of 1,500 guests on Monday night at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket to celebrate the restaurant and hospitality industry.

And during that ceremony, West Hartford was well noted.
•"Chef of the Year," presented by Performance Foodservice, went to Ashley Flagg from The Laurel in West Hartford.

• In addition, Le Mazet in West Hartford (Hartford County) took home a County Restaurant of the Year Award.
The awards were determined with the help of an expert media panel and over 20,000 online public votes.
Monday's event was attended by Gov. Ned Lamont, who addressed the guests and offered words of support and encouragement to the industry.
