West Hartford Nonprofit Offers Special Parent Training Program

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford-based nonprofit is accepting applications for a unique program aimed at helping parents/caregivers improve and better serve loved ones.
The Bridge Family Center, which specializes in family and crisis counseling, is looking for area folks to participate in the "Parent Leadership Training Institute."

This free, in-person, 20-session initiative provides training in leadership, civic, and advocacy skills.
It is open to parents, caregivers, grandparents, or any adult who would like to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community.

Residents of West Hartford and surrounding towns are encouraged to apply.
Meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., with two additional Saturday sessions as well.
The 2026 class will begin on Jan. 17, 2026, and run through June 3.
The program meets at Charter Oak International Academy at 425 Oakwood Ave., West Hartford.
Free childcare for school-age children (4+) and free dinner are provided for all participants and their children.
