West Hartford PD Hosting Large Toy Drive
The WHPD is collecting new, unwrapped toys/gift cards on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Tuesday, Dec. 17, during the holiday season.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford's finest are branching out this holiday season as they look to help local families during the holidays.
The West Hartford Police Department is conducting a large toy drive for the holidays, the drive having started last week at the Holiday Stroll event downtown on Thursday night.

The WHPD will be at the West Hartford Target store at 333 N. Main St. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Tuesday, Dec. 17, collecting toys as well.
On Dec. 11 (Wednesday), police will be at Target from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then, on Dec. 17 (Tuesday), the WHPD will be at Target from 0 a.m. to noon.

"We are collecting new, unwrapped toys, gift cards, books and games for local families in need this holiday season," wrote police in an announcement.
There is even a registry set up through a QR code on an event flyer throughout town that people can scan so they can see what, specifically, is being sought as part of the toy drive.
