West Hartford Resident Named Deputy Attorney General

West Hartford resident Perry Zinn Rowthorn was named deputy attorney general by Attorney General George Jepsen on Monday.

According to a press release, Zinn Rowthorn will succeed current Deputy Attorney General Nora Dannehy, who will depart later this month.

Zinn Rowthorn currently serves as the associate attorney general for litigation.

“As Associate for Litigation, Perry has brought critical and thoughtful oversight to the office’s litigation practice,” Jepsen said.  

Zinn Rowthorn is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. He joined the Office of the Attorney General in 1999 and has served as associate attorney general for litigation since 2009. He previously served as an assistant attorney general in the consumer protection, public safety and special litigation departments.

“I deeply appreciate the opportunity and honor to assist the Attorney General’s successful work on behalf of the people of Connecticut,” Zinn Rowthorn said. “I look forward to working in this new role with him and our remarkable staff of lawyers and support personnel.”
