WEST HARTFORD, CT — Ten months after opening, a West Hartford wine bar on LaSalle Street has now closed.

According to the owners of the bar, they are "heartbroken" regarding the decision.

The official announcement was made on July 23, and the staff in recent days spent time connecting with the "Crush community."

Sunday's final day of business was in the form of its "Cool Natural Wine Festival," a ticketed event that closed out Crush's operations.

Opened in October 2024, Crush was located in West Hartford Center with a full "small plates" menu and an "eclectic wine list of 350-plus wines from around the world, and focuses, craft cocktails."

Monday, the first day after the bar's closing, Crush's website had a simple goodbye message, along with a reminder that the owners have another eatery on LaSalle Street in West Hartford.

"Thank you for all of your support. This may mark the end of Crush at this location, but it is not the end of our story," wrote Crush.

"We look forward to continuing our commitment to hospitality and craft at Union Kitchen, where we will keep serving the West Hartford community with the same heart and dedication that defined Crush from the start."

Union Kitchen & Bar is an upscale restaurant and bar located at 43 LaSalle Road, West Hartford.
