Vision's field staff, who started work Sept. 15, will be visiting homes that have recently been sold.

These visits will take place during daytime hours and will include verifying exterior measurements.

In some cases, staff may request a brief interior inspection to confirm property details.

If no one is home, a letter will be sent with instructions for scheduling an appointment.

All field personnel will carry official identification badges. Their vehicles will be registered with both the West Hartford Police Department and the West Hartford Assessor's Office.

New property values are necessary for tax calculation purposes.

Those seeking more information or who have concerns can contact the West Hartford Assessor's Office at 860-561-7410 or WHAssessment@WestHartfordCT.gov.
