3 Killed In Crash On I-91 In Wethersfield, IDs Released: State Police
Three other people were injured in the crash, state police said.

WETHERSFIELD, CT β Three people were killed and three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 southbound in Wethersfield on Sunday morning, according to state police.
State police said a tractor-trailer was parked in the right shoulder on Interstate 91 Southbound, north of exit 25 just before 5 a.m.
A 2003 Lincoln Aviator driven by a Virginia resident was traveling on Interstate 91 Southbound in an unknown lane of travel, state police said.

"For an unknown reason, (the Lincoln Aviator) veered into the right lane and collided with the rear of (the tractor trailer). (The Lincoln Aviator) came to an uncontrolled final rest in the right shoulder of Interstate 91 Southbound prior to exit 25 directly behind (the tractor trailer)," state police said in a news release.
The tractor trailer operator, who is from Pennsylvania, reported not being injured and declined medical attention, state police said.

Two people inside the Lincoln Aviator were pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger was transported to Hartford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead due to injuries she sustained during the crash, state police said.
The other three occupants of the Lincoln Aviator were transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
This case remains under investigation. The three people confirmed to have died in the crash are: Rebecca Marie Schutte, 36, of Florida, Lacey Marie Price, 32, of Florida and Kory Watson, 40, of Virginia, state police said.
