Roadway Closed Due To Downed Wires Now Open In Wethersfield: Update

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A major roadway in Wethersfield was closed after wires came down and were reported to be on the road, but the situation has been cleared and the roadway reopened.

According to the state Department of Transportation, Route 99 in Wethersfield was closed between Jordan Lane and Oxford Street because of "wires down across the road" for parts of late morning into the afternoon

This was reported at 11:22 a.m. and it is now no longer listed on the state's incident report.
