Scarecrows Take Over Wethersfield In This Fall Tradition
The annual 'Scarecrows Along Main Street' event Oct. 1-31 in downtown Old Wethersfield starts on Tuesday.

WETHERSFIELD, CT βThe Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association is hosting the 29th Annual "Scarecrows Along Main Street."
The event, according to organizers, is "a cherished community event showcasing over 100 handcrafted scarecrows throughout the business district on Main Street in Old Wethersfield."

It will take place from Tuesday, Oct. 1, to Oct.31 and visitors can freely stroll along Main Street and "experience a delightful display of creativity, celebrating the fall season in this historic town."
While visiting, guests are encouraged to shop at Main Streetβs local businesses, savor a meal at one of the restaurants, indulge in a sweet treat, and explore the areaβs history through its museums and historical landmarks.

Founded in 1975, the Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association is a collaborative collection of small businesses in the heart of Old Wethersfieldβs Village Business Zone.
