Sewer Work To Impact Traffic In Wethersfield, Rocky Hill
Traffic on the Sileas Deane Highway will be impacted by the project, which starts the week of Feb. 17.

WETHERSFIELD/ROCK HILL, CT — Traffic will be disrupted for the next six weeks in Wethersfield and Rocky Hill as local water/sewer lines get a much-needed cleaning and makeover.
Starting next week, the Metropolitan District (MDC) and its contractor, Paramount Construction and subcontractor National Water Main Cleaning Co., will be working on repairs and rehabilitation (lining of the sanitary sewers along portions of the Silas Deane Highway.

The work will take place at night, Sunday, through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and it is expected to last approximately six weeks.
The work includes inspection of the sewers, followed by repairing sewer pipes.

Limited dig work may be required if poor pipe conditions are discovered.
Traffic flow may be impacted around work zones and traffic patterns may include temporary lane closures and alternating one-way.
Motorists are asked to adhere to posted signage.
