WETHERSFIELD, CT — A major state roadway was closed in Wethersfield Friday morning due to an accident reportedly involving a motorcycle that seriously injured two.

According to the State Department of Transportation, Route 15 South was closed between exits 87 and 85 following a single-vehicle accident, reportedly involving a motorcycle.

The accident was first reported at 1:50 a.m. and the roadway reopened just before 6:30 a.m. Friday.
