Water Main Break Closes Busy Wethersfield Street: State

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A water main break in Wethersfield Tuesday has caused traffic havoc for motorists, with the roadway being closed.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the break occurred on State Route 314 (Jordan Lane), resulting in that roadway being closed between Folly Brook Boulevard and Wolcott Hill Road.

The break was first reported at 11:58 a.m. Tuesday, and it is still "unknown" when the main will be fixed and the road reopened there.

The Wethersfield Police Department is asking that motorists avoid the area today.
