Wethersfield Collision Causes Serious Injuries Friday Morning: Police

A busy stretch of roadway was shut down to traffic Friday as police investigate.

WETHERSFIELD, CT β€” Local police are investigating a serious crash in town involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle Friday morning that caused serious injuries.

According to a Wethersfield Police Department notice at about 9 a.m., the crash happened in the 400 block of Jordan Lane.

The state Department of Transportation indicates the crash happened at about 7:35 a.m.

As a result, the police said that Jordan Lane, state Route 314, was "closed until further notice" from Ridge Road to Folly Brook Boulevard.

Later in the morning, the crash was cleared and the roadway reopened, according to the DOT.

The WPD and the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating.
