Wethersfield Eatery Makes List Of Top Outdoor Dining Restaurants

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A Wethersfield restaurant has been included in a Connecticut Magazine list of the state's top restaurants for outdoor dining.

To compile the list, Connecticut Magazine asked its readers to choose up to three restaurants in order of preference in several categories, including best outdoor dining. Then, a "panel of experts" recommended additional places, rounding out the magazine's list.

The surveys were conducted in September and October 2021, according to Connecticut Magazine, and River: A Waterfront Restaurant and Bar in Wethersfield made the cut as one of the "Readers' Picks" restaurants.

Google describes the restaurant as offering a "modern choice with upmarket steaks, seafood & pastas."

The restaurant is located on the Connecticut River — the only eatery in the state directly on the river's banks, according to its website — and in 2020 Hartford Magazine readers voted it "Best Water View Dining" in a poll.
