For the second time in a week, someone purchasing a ticket there hit it big.

WETHERSFIELD, CT β€” One local liquor store just might be the place to play the Connecticut Lottery Corp.'s Play 4 drawing.

That's because, for the second time in a week, someone purchasing a ticket there hit it big.

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, East Hartford resident Noel Montanez, won $14,000 playing the Play 4 daytime drawing.

He purchased the winning ticket at Steve's Price Cutters Liquor, which is located at 156 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield.

Montanez's winning come four days after a Hartford woman won a whopping $31,955 playing the same game on Friday, Nov. 25.

And she, too, purchased her ticket at Steve's Price Cutters Liquor.

Play 4 is a daily numbers drawing done twice daily, with a minimum maximum payout of $25,000, a figure that can go larger than that if multipliers are purchased in addition to the 50-cent ticket.
