Wethersfield Man Scratches Off $20,000 Prize

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A local man took home a $20,000 prize Tuesday playing a $20 scratch-off game courtesy of the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

According to lottery officials, Mario Ferreira of Wethersfield won that amount playing the "200X 2nd Edition" scratch-off game.

Ferreira purchased the winning ticket in Rocky Hill at Krauszer's Food Store, according to the lottery corporation.

The highest possible prize with this particular game is a $1 million annuity, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp. website.
