Wethersfield PD Cracks Down On Trucks

Local police and state officials recently conducted an enforcement operation of truck driving in no-truck zones.

WETHERSFIELD, CT – Local police on Wednesday released the results of a recent truck enforcement operation in town.

On Friday, Sept. 26, the Wethersfield Police Department, in collaboration with the state Department of Motor Vehicles inspectors, conducted traffic enforcement for no-truck-zone violators.

The action came after the town received multiple complaints about the continuous violations, the WPD said.

According to police, there was a combined total of six traffic stops of commercial trucks in violation of the no-truck zone. Infractions and Level 3 inspections were completed as a result of the traffic stops.

"The Wethersfield Police Department would like to thank the Connecticut Department of Motor
Vehicles inspectors for their assistance with this traffic enforcement effort," wrote the WPD.
