Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Wethersfield

The large payout will go to a Wethersfield resident, who purchased the ticket on Thursday.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Somebody is strolling through Wethersfield these days with a much, much heftier wallet after scoring a major Powerball win this week.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the winning ticket was sold Thursday to the tune of a $150,000 payout, which is short of the $600 million jackpot, but it is likely the winner isn't complaining too much.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speros Wine and Spirits, 683 Wolcott Hill Road.
