$14k in Jewelry and Guns Stolen from Wilton Condo
Seven handguns and $11,000 worth of jewelry were stolen from a Fawn Ridge condo
For the second time since October, another home located in the Fawn Ridge condominium complex has been broken into and burglarized on Weds., Dec. 21.
Police said that seven handguns and approximately $11,000 worth of jewelry and seven handguns valued at about $3,700 were stolen from the bedroom of the condominium complex, which is located near the Norwalk/Wilton border off of Rte. 7.
Lieutenant Donald Wakeman of the Wilton Police Department said that the condo had been accessed via the prying of a kitchen window on the second floor. Missing jewelry items included a wedding band, a watch, a broach, rings and cufflinks. The missing handguns and their approximate worth were listed by police as follows: a Browning ($1,100), a Beretta ($800), an Ordiance MC ($350), a Bernardelli ($300), a Dreyse ($550), a Raven ($100) and a Rossi ($500). Also missing was a $100 leather wallet and a $45 card case. Police said the guns were hidden in the closet of the master bedroom and that some ransacking had occurred in the bedroom, but not throughout the entire home.

Police reports say that the home is suspected to have been burglarized between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Reports say that the incident is still under investigation and that “forensic evidence is being examined.”
