17-Year-Old Wilton Golfer Defies The Odds

WILTON, CT — A 17-year-old Wilton golfer accomplished what most golfers can only dream of: dropping a hole-in-one, twice, during the same round.

Alex Elia's two aces came during a practice round ahead of the 120th Connecticut Amateur Championship at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury in June, according to a report on NBC Connecticut.

Alex Elia had just graduated from Wilton High School when he beat the 1 in 67 million odds.
