Affinity Esports Group Acquires CT Esports Academy, Expands YMCA Partnership In Wilton

Affinity Esports acquires CT Esports Academy and expands YMCA partnership, adding new after-school and gaming programs in Wilton.

WILTON, CT — Affinity Esports Group has acquired CT Esports Academy and expanded its partnership with the Riverbrook Regional YMCA, a move officials say will broaden esports programming and community engagement in Wilton.

The acquisition builds on CT Esports Academy’s existing foundation while adding new programs for families, according to Affinity Esports Group founder and CEO Mark Kilpatrick. “This acquisition allows us to unify and elevate the esports experience for Wilton families and demonstrate what we can do alongside a partner like the Riverbrook Regional YMCA,” Kilpatrick said.

Beginning Aug. 25, the YMCA will host after-school programs, social gaming clubs, game nights, educational classes, and club teams, along with private coaching in gaming, content creation, and coding. The After-School Study & Play Club will run weekdays from 3 to 5 p.m., with transportation provided from schools to the YMCA. Registration is open online here.
