Chipotle Mexican Grill To Open First Site In Wilton This Week

WILTON, CT — Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening its first location in Wilton on Wednesday, Aug. 28

The fast casual Mexican restaurant, famous for the burritos, bowls and tacos made in front of customers, will be joining T.J. Maxx, Michael's, Outback and other tenants in the Gateway Shopping Center at 14 Danbury Road.

The new eatery will be open every day 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Wilton site will be Chipotle's 35th restaurant in Connecticut, and it opens amidst a new emphasis upon their takeout and digital business. The restaurant will feature the brand’s signature Chipotlane, a drive thru pick-up lane that allows guests to conveniently pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.

The restaurant is still looking for workers, according to spokesperson Sally Evans. Each restaurant typically hires for approximately 30 jobs per location, Evans said, offering "competitive benefits."
