DUI Checkpoint in Wilton Beginning Friday on Rte. 7

The Wilton Police Department will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday September 9, 2011, beginning in the evening and extending into Saturday morning. 

The checkpoint will be set up on Danbury Road (Route 7). Signage will be posted in the area advising of the checkpoint. A number of officers will be participating in this. 

A grant was received to fund 75% of the cost for the officers. This checkpoint is being conducted in conjunction with the State and National DUI enforcement program in operation through the Labor Day weekend – Drunk Driving. Over The Limit. Under Arrest.
