DUI Driver Traveling 20 MPH Over Speed Limit: Wilton Police
Police say the accused was seen speeding on Danbury Road.

WILTON, CT — A Stamford man was arrested after he was clocked 20 miles per hour over the speed limit, according to police. Christopher Gonda, 32, of Stamford was clocked at 56 miles per hour on Rte. 7, a 35 miles per hour zone.
Police say they smelled a "strong odor" of alcohol when an officer approached Gonda's vehicle on Danbury Road in the area of Deerfield Road. The accused allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol and submitted to field sobriety tests.
Gonda was placed into custody and his Blood Alcohol Content was registered at 0.168, over twice the legal limit of .08.

He was charged with speeding and driving under the influence. He is due in court on Sept. 14.
