Seafood burgers sold at Caraluzzi's recalled for undeclared egg allergen; refunds offered.
WILTON, CT — State health officials are warning consumers that Italian Style Seafood Burgers sold at Caraluzzi’s Wilton Market may pose a risk to individuals with egg allergies due to undeclared ingredients.
The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection’s Food, Standards and Product Safety Division, along with the Department of Public Health, announced that the 8-ounce burgers have been voluntarily recalled. The product, marked with UPC code 0-95864-80008-8, is packaged in clear wrapping with a blue overwrap label and bears an expiration date of Jan. 16, 2026.
The seafood burgers were available for purchase at Caraluzzi’s locations in Wilton, Bethel, Newtown, and Danbury between Feb. 18 and Apr. 2, 2025.

Officials said the product has been removed from store shelves. Customers who purchased the burgers are advised to return them to the store for a full refund or discard them. Consumers with egg allergies may experience serious or life-threatening reactions if the product is consumed.
