11/15: Police pulled over a 21-year-old man, identified as Mike Alves, of Danbury, for driving too fast on Danbury Road. When police ran his identity through their system, they found that Alves was wanted by the Bridgeport Police for nine counts of second-degree forgery, second degree larceny, and for giving a false statement to police, according to police reports. Alves was arrested and handed over to the Brookfield Police Department.

11/21: Police charged an 18-year old man with the theft of over $400 in wine, liquor and beer which occurred a year ago in October of 2010, police said. Apparently, this person entered a residence on Branch Brook Road during daylight hours and swiped the booze—police then investigated the matter, and, upon following up on some reports, found that the accused had been drinking alcohol from similar bottles with friends on his porch, according to Lieutenant Donald Wakeman of the Wilton Police Department. After several interviews, they were ready to charge the accused, but he had sojourned to another state for a while, said Wakeman.
“Most if was just waiting to get him in here,” said Wakeman. At the time of the theft, the accused was 17-years-old, and therefore has not been identified. Police charged the accused with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny. He was issued a $5,000 bond and a promise to appear in court.

Don’t hit the driver
11/19: Police charged a 47-year-old Wilton woman with striking her boyfriend in the face while he was driving down Danbury Road, “causing minor injury.” The woman has been charged with disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
Catalytic converters swiped from Nissans
11/15: Three catalytic converters valued at about $1,000 a piece were stolen from vehicles parked at Bruce Bennett Nissan, according to police reports. Two Nissan Titan pick-up trucks and a Nissan work van were burglarized; the three vehicles were parked in the south lot of the business, according to reports. Police believe the theft to have occurred between last Monday and last Tuesday.
Additional arrests in high school larceny made
11/17: Two more juveniles have been charged with sixth-degree larceny in association with a t which occurred at Wilton High School last week, police said. The offenders were both male; one was 14 and the other was 17 at the time of the arrest, according to police reports.
11/15: A leather bag containing an unspecified amount of cash was reported stolen from Silver Hanger Cleaners, according to police reports.
DUI
11/20: Police charged Andrew Shaw, 35, of Norwalk, for allegedly driving under the influence because they observed his vehicle “swerving while travelling northbound on rte. 7,” according to reports. The accused was also charged with failure to drive right
