Free Kid's Community Service Club and Choir Offered at Wilton Congregational Church

Wilton students in grades 3-5 are invited to a free after school community service club and choir that focuses on helping the community.

WILTON, CT -- Wilton Congregational Church's is offering a brand new free after-school program called F.U.S.E. Kids! What is F.U.S.E.? It's a free after school program for Wilton kids in grades 3 through 5 that includes community service projects, crafts, snacks and kid's choir.

F.U.S.E. stands for "Friends United in Service to Everyone." Each week the club will focus on a different group in the community: those in need, veterans, sick and the elderly by making special crafts, cards and more to show the community how much we care!

F.U.S.E. Kid's Club is run by Wendy Mitchell, and award-winning philanthropist, artist, writer and bass player with over 17 years of experience working in children's ministry. She studied Child Development at Post University, has her head teacher certification through the State of Connecticut in Early Childhood Education and has obtained CEU's with Yale Divinity School in youth leadership and the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) CEU's in Christian Education. After the tragedy in her hometown in 2012, Wendy became the Founder/Executive Director of an award-winning nonprofit healing arts center that she opened called The SHACK (Sandy Hook Arts Center for Kids). Wendy is excited to bring her knowledge and passion to the Wilton community.
