Hit and Run on Rte 33, Cars Burgled in Wilton

Two cars burgled in YMCA lot

1/13: Two separate incidents of car burglaries occurred in the parking lot between the time of 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. One car had its driver’s side window smashed open and a Kate Spade purse stolen from the interior, according to police. Missing items include credit cards, a $750 iPhone, $25 in cash, and a checkbook.

Another car, also parked in the YMCA parking lot, had its rear passenger window shattered. Police said that missing items included a $500 coach bag containing prescription medication.

Hit and Run

1/13: An SUV pulled out of the exit driveway for Wilton Childrens Day School, smacked into a 2011 Subaru Outback wagon travelling southbound on Rte. 33, and continued on driving northbound without stopping, police said. The SUV is described as large, white and with front-end damage. The Subaru’s driver, a 69-year-old Wilton woman, was not injured. Pot infraction

1/12: Police issued a 17-year-old Wilton male an infraction ticket for possession of less than half-an-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia which was found “inside of his vehicle which was parked at the Gateway shopping center.”

DUI

1/15: Police pulled over and arrested a 36-year-old man, identified as Brian Bulakowksi, of Brookfield, for allegedly swerving on Rte. 7 while driving northbound; upon pulling him over, police allege the accused was intoxicated. He was released on a PTA.
